The Sycamore team endeavour to provide the highest quality custom builds / accessorized Harley-Davidson suited to your style and needs. This is the teams latest creation, it started out as a 2009 XL883 standard and for starters has been converted to a high compression 1200 with high lift cams. The engine is also featuring wrapped Paul Yaffe Supertrapp X-pipes, Roland Sands velocity stack and a Kitech fueler. The engine was originally completely silver but we decided to gloss black certain engine covers to give the engine a unique, contrasting look. Complete with its own bottle opener we certainly are pleased with the final look. The original wheels have been stripped, powder coated, re-spoked and white wall tyres added. The Lower fork legs and both fork yokes have been sprayed gloss black. We have fitted 10.5” Progressive rear shock absorbers. We have removed all standard turnsignals and replaced with billet LED units mounted on what’s left of the rear fender struts and the lower fork yoke. We have fitted Roland Sands side mount license bracket with built in tail and brake light. We have relocated the ignition switch, coil pack and added front fork gaiters. We have removed all switches under the tank and painstakingly hardwired all the connections so that we can hide the wiring and open up the gap between the frame and the front cylinder. The Paintwork was done locally, originally we asked for a clear candy apple red with a uniform metal grind underneath, however our artist got a little bored and started messing around with various tools and equipment and eventually came up with this pattern by attaching a 5p piece to a drill head and basically getting into a rhythm and marking the metal in such a way that if exposed to sunlight the paintwork appears to move and to be holographic (ask a member of staff to wheel it into the sunlight). We chopped the rear end and removed the front fender. If you have any paint questions please ask a member of staff. The handlebars are 17” internally wired apes attached to 1.5” Roland Sands risers, we have removed the switch housings and wired the switches through the Exile hand grips. If you have any questions about the bike or would like any quotes please ask a member of staff.
Number 3 of Sycamore custom builds was our take on a cafe racer not only did the look sturn out cool, but the engine was tuned to suite too.

I bought the 883 iron because of its dark look but as an ex technician before i do anything i have to have the engine performing to the best of its abilty. I upgraded the engine to a 1200cc using silver cylinders, high compression pistons and high lift cams. I added more performance by getting the gases flowing by adding a stage 1 using supertrapp X pipes, performance machine high flow aircleaner and a genuine Screamin Eagle Super Tuner kit. Not quite sure of the exact performance of the bike but im hoping once it runs in it will be off the clock... i will have to wait and see. The looks of the bike im not really that fussed about aslong as it is clean and not over complicated. All i need to do now is to lower the suspension to make the rear fender hug the rear tyre then it will be complete (maybe).
