BarbersRide 2017 - Harleys and haircuts combine for charity!

BarbersRide 2017 is a well-known charity motorcycle ride, proudly sponsored by Harley-Davidson® UK & Ireland and this year, it went on to raise money yet again, for two very deserving charities - Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Lions Barber Collective. Consisting of an international collective of barbers, they are committed to raising awareness for the prevention of suicide.

Beginning at Dundee on Saturday 22nd July 2017, the BarbersRide 2017 involved an international collection of barbers and guest riders who travelled 500 miles whilst collecting donations en route. Evening stopovers featured a series of barbers seminars from invited speakers and after-ride parties with the event finishing on 26th July in Shoreditch, London - home of famed Bike Shed, where an evening of fun commenced along with great food, music and liquid refreshments.

Prearranged and organised by Colin Petrie, a Harley-Davidson® enthusiast and owner of famed barbershop Hard Grind, along with the assistance of a team of like-minded individuals, BarbersRide 2017 has raised donated funds for both the world-famous Great Ormond Street Hospital which has been renowned for its specialist children care and The Lions Barber Collective.

Having raised over £8000 to date, Sycamore Harley-Davidson® customers can still assist with this amazing cause and donate to these charities by making a donation on the web portal. Stay tuned to find out exactly how much we raise and we look forward to seeing this event again next year!
