Date set for Motorcycle Museum open day

The National Motorcycle Museum Live open day will be held on Saturday 5 November.

Motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to visit the newly reconfigured museum collection, free-of-charge.  If you think you’ve seen the museum before, think again!

To assist visitors, everyone arriving on site will be given a free timetable with a full list and timings of all the day’s exciting events.

For example, racing legends Carl FogartyMBE andJamie Whitham will host two special ‘stars on stage’ chat shows with motorcycling personalities such as Ian Hutchinson and Peter Hickman.  Visitors will also be able to see and hear some of the most famous race machines in the world started up in the new-for-2016 LIVE START UP area.  Some of the museum’s specialist suppliers and craftsmen (including the restoration team) will be available to chat and answer questions as well.

The Museum shop and restaurant will be open throughout the event with a wide variety of catering on offer including breakfast, lunch, a range of hot meals & snacks plus a special BBQ; an indoor autojumble and trade area will feature stands and displays from many well-known names;  and a raffle to win a 1990 Norton Rotary F1 worth over £22,000 will be drawn by one of the celebrity guests live on stage.
