Flat out at Faak

If you didn’t make it to the 20th European Bike Week® at Faaker See earlier this month, you missed a great event on and around Lake Faak in Austria. As always, there was great music and entertainment, but what got us most excited this year was the Harley® Hooligans!

For the first time ever, European Bike Week played host to flat track style racing on a purpose-built dirt oval with selected members of the world’s media ready to rumble on 10 flat track-spec Street Rod.

The fastest lap time claimed the victory in the Hooligan Simultaneous Time Trial (STT) International Invitational and there was some impressive riding, but it was definitely outdone by the looks and sound of the specially prepared bikes.

As Harley-Davidson’s hand-built XG750R flat track machine uses a tuned version of the Street Rod’s High Output Revolution X™ 750 V-twin engine, its road-going counterpart was the perfect machine for the job. Each one was stripped, prepped and made battle ready with modified handlebars, seat unit, fuel tank, exhaust, wheels and tyres.

It’s got the guys in our workshop itching to create their own flat-track inspired custom, so if you’re interested in joining the Harley Hooligan ranks – whether for racing or just to inspire envy on the local roads – call in and have a chat with our Custom King.
